The short version: we don't collect, store or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Overview
CV Maker ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the app.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- No account required — you never need to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
- No analytics — we do not use any analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any third-party analytics).
- No crash reporting — we rely solely on Apple's built-in crash reporting.
- No advertising — the app contains no ads and no advertising SDKs.
- No tracking — we do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or any tracking technologies.
- Nothing you create is ever transmitted — editing and PDF rendering happen entirely offline on your device.
Network Activity
The app makes one optional request to our website: it fetches the current version of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, so they stay up to date between app releases. That request sends no personal data, no identifiers and none of your resume content, and the app works normally if it fails — the versions bundled in the app are shown instead.
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Like any web server, it records standard request logs such as IP address, timestamp and user agent. These logs are not linked to any account, because the app has none, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Apart from that, the only network activity is through Apple's own services: optional iCloud sync (CloudKit) and in-app purchase verification (StoreKit).
Data Storage
All data you enter into the app — resume content, cover letter content, contact information, work experience, education and so on — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Your resume and cover letter data is stored only in the app's private sandbox on your device.
- We cannot access, read or retrieve your data.
- Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your data.
iCloud Sync (Premium Feature)
If you are a Premium subscriber and enable iCloud Sync:
- Your resume data is synced across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit service.
- Data is stored in your private iCloud container — only you can access it.
- We do not have access to your iCloud data.
- Sync is optional and can be disabled at any time in Settings.
- Apple's iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
The app offers Premium auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and yearly, including occasional limited-time pricing) and a one-time Lifetime purchase through Apple's App Store. Current prices for your region are always shown in the app before purchase.
- All purchases and payments are processed by Apple through StoreKit.
- We do not collect or store any payment information.
- Purchase history, billing and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple Account.

Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services. We use only Apple-provided frameworks:
- SwiftUI — user interface
- SwiftData — local data storage
- PDFKit — PDF preview and rendering
- StoreKit — in-app purchases
- CloudKit — optional iCloud sync
This website is served by Firebase Hosting, which acts only as a static file host.
Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not collect information from anyone of any age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
